US eyes ‘joint innovation and R&D’ with India as SHANTI Act paves way for private players, FDI in nuclear sector
The SHANTI Bill, passed earlier by Parliament and enacted into law on Monday, repealed the Atomic Energy Act of 1962 and the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act, 2010, subsuming all laws related to the civil nuclear sector and opening the same up for participation by private players.
