Uber, Ola and other cab aggregators directed to cease advance tipping option; govt calls it ‘misleading, unfair’
The central government has ordered cab aggregators to stop pre-booking driver tips, labeling it misleading. This follows a ₹10 lakh fine on Rapido for unfair practices. The CCPA is also investigating Uber and Ola amid numerous consumer complaints regarding advance tipping.
