At the 2025 North America Technology Symposium, TSMC introduced its next-generation advanced logic process, A14 (1.4nm). Scheduled for production in 2028, A14 marks a major leap forward from the N2 node, providing a stronger foundation for AI development across both servers and edge devices. TSMC stated that compared to the N2 process, A14 will deliver up to 15% higher speed at the same power, or up to 30% lower power at the same speed, while also offering over 20% improvement in logic density. The A14 technology will also include a variant that supports Super Power Rail backside power delivery, with production of this derivative node planned for 2029. [TSMC]
