Maharashtra set to lose out on mega refinery, talks on with Gujarat & Andhra
The Indian government is in talks with Saudi Arabia to build two oil refineries, one in Gujarat and another in Andhra Pradesh. Each refinery will have a capacity of 10-15 million tonnes annually. This comes as the planned mega-refinery in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra faces challenges. The projects are part of discussions to boost Saudi investment in India.
