Maharashtra: Gauri Lankesh murder accused to contest Jalna civic polls as independent
Shrikant Pangarkar, accused in journalist Gauri Lankesh's murder, is running as an independent candidate for the Jalna Municipal Corporation elections on 15 January. He previously served in Shiv Sena and was also arrested in 2018 for his alleged involvement in terrorism-related activities.
