Madhya Pradesh approves Uniform Civil Code: Marriage, inheritance, live-in rules explained
The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved the Uniform Civil Code, introducing common rules on marriage, inheritance and live-in relationships. The proposed law includes up to five years' jail for married people entering live-in relationships and exempts STs and PVTGs in protected areas, HT reported.
