Lynk & Co on Jan. 3 unveiled its largest-ever model, the 900, boasting a spacious interior, stylish looks, and high-tech features in the hope of competing for customers against hot-selling models such as the Range Rover and Li Auto’s L9 sports utility vehicles. The full-sized SUV measures 5.2 meters in length and 1.8 meters in height with a wheelbase of nearly 3.2 meters, and comes with digital LED front and rear lights that can display customized symbols and engage in communication light functions.
The six-seater SUV was also said to offer third-row passengers more wiggle room than existing offerings with adjustable seats, while the second-row chairs could be slid and swiveled, a feature that makes it easy for passengers to get in and out of. The plug-in hybrid SUV is also equipped with two 30-inch wide 6K infotainment screens for both front and back passengers, as well as NVIDIA’s chips to enable advanced driver assistance capabilities. Lynk & Co, formerly jointly owned by Geely and Volvo, is forming a new electric vehicle group with sister brand Zeekr. Volvo said last November that it would sell all of its stakes in the brand to Zeekr and Geely in a restructuring move by the Chinese auto giant. [TechNode reporting]
