JD Logistics opens first self-operated overseas warehouse in Japan

JD Logistics has launched its first self-operated overseas warehouse in Japan, located in Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo, and opened on Christmas Day. The Tokyo No.1 Warehouse, which can store millions of items, is equipped with a range of automation technologies, including robots for storage and sorting, and automated production lines. These systems are expected to improve operational efficiency by more than 100% compared to traditional manual processes, according to JD Logistics.
