Govt to Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho & others: Selling these gadgets is 'illegal'
The Central Consumer Protection Authority has issued notices to thirteen online platforms, including Amazon and Flipkart, for the illegal sale of walkie-talkies. These platforms are failing to provide necessary disclosures regarding licensing requirements and frequency specifications. The CCPA is also drafting guidelines to prevent the illegal sale and use of licensed frequency wireless devices.
