Birth tourism crackdown: US revokes more than 600 visas; Marco Rubio says ‘American citizenship is not for sale’
The visa cancellations followed the creation of a Birth Tourism Prevention Task Force by State Department to identify people allegedly abusing the US visa system, dismantle networks facilitating birth tourism and prevent what the administration describes as the exploitation of US citizenship laws.
